In March 2023, the City Council of Capriate San Gervasio (Bergamo) approved the update of the Management Plan for the workers’ Village of Crespi d’Adda, according to the UNESCO guidelines.
With the aim of creating a Management Plan oriented towards satisfying the needs and expectations of citizens and stakeholders interested in the future of the Village of Crespi d’Adda, participatory planning tables were organized.
More than 70 ideas emerged from the collaborative process, attributable to 7 macro-themes, including tourism. The 4 actions that emerged from the work tables created within the TExTOUR project for sustainable tourism are:
- creation of a Vademecum for the tourist visit and for citizens
- monitoring of tourist flows
- establishment of a working table for the organization of the integrated tourist offer
- identification of a network of tourist itineraries in the area and between UNESCO sites
All these four actions belong to the tourism area, and they combine ideas and purposes in line with the management plan.
