Published on 28 Sep 2022

It is time to take another peek behind the scenes of TExTOUR, discovering one of the project’s pilot sites: the Italian company town of Crespi d’Adda.

In this interview, we meet Giorgio Ravasio: the president of  Crespi d’Adda association and scientific director of the local museum.

Crespi d’Adda is a company town born around a cotton industry. It was founded by the entrepreneur Cristoforo Benigno Crespi between 1878 and 1929. When it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1995, the factory was still operating even though the phenomenon of company towns was in decline in Europe.
In this interview from the “Meet TExTOUR” series we will learn about the past, present and future of Crespi d’Adda, hearing the fascinating history of this incredible town.

Don’t miss the other “Meet TExTOUR” interview series, they are all available in TExTOUR’s youtube channel.

TExTOUR is a project made by people for the people, stay tuned for the next interview that will bring you behind the scene of sustainable cultural tourism development.
