Côa Museum
Rua do Museu, 5150-620 - Vila Nova de Foz Côa, Portugal

The second edition of the meeting “Science, Culture and Sustainable Tourism” is the result of the initiatives and fruitful partnerships established between the Network of Public Polytechnic Universities with Tourism Courses (RIPTUR), the Côa Museum, the Coordinating Council of Polytechnic Universities (CCISP) and the Center for Research, Development and Innovation in Tourism (CITUR).

This meeting is also part of a broad and in-depth reflection on the intersections of culture and science in Portugal, through the Network of Observatories in Portugal and a number of institutional bodies such as Turismo de Portugal, Entidade Regional de Turismo Porto e Norte and CM Vila Nova de Foz Côa, with the participation of various stakeholders linked to the business sector, academia and research.

The first day of the meeting is dedicated to the tourism observation network, innovative tourism practices, and the challenges of sustainable tourism development.

During the second day, it will be possible to visit the Côa Museum and the Paula Rego exhibition.

The registration is free and the full program is available on the conference website.
