Have you ever heard about the abandoned village of Fikardou? It is a village in the mountain of Cyprus, and it is also one of the pilot sites of TExTOUR project, together with the Lebanese village of Anfeh.
Marinos Ioannides from the Cyprus University of Technology talks about the importance of sustainable tourism development in the Fikardou area. Even if the village is abandoned, its traditions and culture are still there and are a valuable treasure that must be preserved for future generations.
