Dear readers, our journey across Europe and beyond, to discover and valorise cultural heritage, has ended. Our path concludes, but yours is just beginning.
Throughout this journey, TExTOUR developed an innovative methodology to implement sustainable tourism actions in remote areas, creating a platform that guides and monitors sustainable tourism development strategies. These tools have already been applied in our eight pilot sites, but the true impact goes beyond numbers and technology.
For us, TExTOUR has been much more: a weaving of cultures, ideas, and people. We explored places and histories, but most importantly, we connected with communities in these areas. They are the ones who made all of this possible and brought our project to life.
The essence of TExTOUR is the development of co-created strategies, born from collaboration with the people living in these regions.
All the experiences we’ve had and the lessons we’ve learned have been collected in mini-guides and practical resources to inspire all those working in or interested in cultural tourism.
These resources are our legacy to you, so you can take them with you and embark on your next journey towards sustainable tourism.
