20 Jun 2022, 11:00-12:30
SmartCulTour webinar on sustainable cultural tourism development and implementation strategies and policies is going to take place on the 20th of June, from 11:00 to 12:30 (CET).
Cultural tourism development strategies and their benefits for local communities and visitors often remain on a conceptual level. Therefore, it is sometimes hard to see the advantages of investing in the development of sustainable cultural tourism, particularly in areas that do not belong to the mainstream touristic routes.
SmartCulTour webinar proposes a broad analysis of cultural tourism policies, policy responses to Covid-19 and success conditions of different types of cultural tourism interventions. Lessons learned on both success conditions and barriers of implementation can serve further policy recommendations.
The invited speakers are: Bart Neuts (KU Leuven, SmartCulTour), Milada Šťastná (Mendel University, SPOT), Alun Jones (CIHEAM Zaragoza, SmartCulTour), Claire Wallace (University of Aberdeen, SPOT), John Shaddock (University of Aberdeen, SPOT) and Simone Moretti (Breda University of Applied Sciences, SmartCulTour).
