The 16th Conference for Cultural Tourism in Europe – ECTN will be held in Pafos, Cyprus, on 18-21 October 2023 featuring five main themes: smart tourism, smart destination, cultural heritage & creativity, digitalisation, and sustainability.
TExTOUR project has been invited to present in the Smart Destinations panel of the conference.
Set within the context of Pafos 2023 European Capital of Smart Tourism, the European Year of Skills 2023, the ReInHerit Horizon 2020 Coordination and Support Action (CSA), and the ‘Transition Pathway for Tourism’ co-implementation, the ECTN 2023 Conference investigates challenges, prospects, and risks of tourism development. The goal is to find smart solutions for cultural tourism development that are sustainable for the local communities and preserve the tangible and intangible heritage of each territory for future generations.
Participants are encouraged to share experiences, best practices, detailed instances, and actionable suggestions related to preserving, reviving, implementing, and promoting cultural and heritage values.
